Every bottle tells a story
Holding a bottle of the 2023 okowita, we realize that it has passed through the hands of almost everyone in Podole Wielkie. Sometimes as a seed for sowing, sometimes as grain or potatoes. Some turned it into mash, others into distillate. Someone poured the liquid into bottles.
And so we think—here in Podole Wielkie, every bottle is a story, truly.
The patron of the Okowita 2022 vintage
People are the most important
The Patron of the 2023 vintage of Podole Wielkie okowita is Mrs. Ewa Jaroszewicz.
Mrs. Ewa is a native of Podole (she grew up and lived here), although she was born in Słupsk. At just 17 years old, she began working at the Plant Breeding Station at the local State Agricultural Farm in Podole.
She has been working at the distillery for 18 years.
Mrs. Ewa is responsible for overseeing and controlling the technological process of potato distillate production, including mashing, fermentation, and distillation.
We are truly grateful that she agreed to do us this honor and become the Patron of the 2023 vintage of Podole Wielkie okowita.

Nose: Potato skin, horseradish, wet earth, cellar.
Palate: Salt, mineral notes, grated potato, tart apples.
Finish: Dry, horseradish, pepper, allspice.

Every year, our distillers create two versions of potato okowita: the same raw material, the same variety, the same field, the same harvest—but two completely different flavor profiles.

Nose: Grated potato, a hint of lemon, delicate tobacco smoke.
Palate: Toffee, hazelnut, cocoa.
Finish: Mineral-sweet, white pepper, apple peel, seeds.
